  • The doctoral dissertation in social sciences "The Influence of UNESCO Librarianship Programs on International Library Cooperation" was defended in 1989. The habilitation commission formed by the councils of the faculties of Communication and Philosophy of Vilnius University in 2004. December 22 decided that E. Macevičiūtė meets the requirements of habilitation in the field of communication and information in the field of humanities. She was awarded a habilitation certificate and was awarded the title of professor.
