How to distinguish which information is true and which is fake? How to evaluate information and which sources to trust? Political communication expert of Vilnius University Faculty of Communication Dr Viktoras Denisenko discusses these questions.
The University Senate today decided that all the study activities at Vilnius University are to be carried out remotely until the end of the spring semester.
In this time, it is crucial to follow reliable, authoritative sources, as rumours and false news spread rapidly in society and social networks. It is also important to stay calm and find other activities while you are at home. Professor of Vilnius University Faculty of Philosophy, Institute of Psychology Dr Antanas Kairys advised on LRT radio broadcast "Ryto Allegro" how to avoid panic during the quarantine and how to find new ways to spend time at home.
In aiming to protect ourselves properly from the spreading of the virus and in view that at present the University has been organizing the studies in the electronic environment, there is no possibility to enter Vilnius University Library and borrow printed items. We will constantly update information about the present situation on the Library’s website and Facebook account.
