On October 22 – 24 Faculty of Communication will be hosting open lectures by professor Zoran Velagić on the topics of publishing, intellectual property and authorship.
Zoran Velagić is a professor at the Department of Information Science, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University J. J. Strossmayer in Osijek. He teaches courses related to history and culture of books and publishing, social aspects of books and readership, sociology of modern publishing, intellectual property and authorship. His research and professional interests include history of books in the early modern period, history of reading and publishing, sociology of modern publishing, editorial trends and content management in modern publishing.

- 23 October, 09:00 – “Sensible readers, book bans, reading-lists revisionism“ (room 205);
- 24 October, 15:00 – “Plagiarism, pirates, and predators“ (room 205);
- 24 October, 17:00 – “Taxonomy of reading and readers“ (room 205).
